Hi, I’m Shelley and I’m the Owner, Director and lead practitioner at Halo Aesthetics Hereford.
I am a registered nurse, graduating from Southampton University in 2001. I have worked predominantly in emergency medicine (16 years) but have also worked in acute medicine, community nursing and trauma. I trained in aesthetics 4 years ago in Manchester and set up the originally named Shelley Folkes Aesthetics in Cheltenham within a year of completing my training, before moving into our Hereford based clinic in May of 2008.
I’m extensively trained within clinical nursing including suturing, advanced life support, anaphylaxis management and infection control. Within aesthetics I have undertaken multiple advanced training courses, extensive skin care training and complications management courses with renowned aesthetics doctor Dr Tim Pearce, ensuring that our clients are as safe as they ever could be.
I’m deeply passionate about ethics in aesthetics, I work with people on their self belief and self esteem, using aesthetics as a tool to enhance their overall well being, never seeking to do anything unnecessary or dramatically face changing.
By really getting to know my clients I build incredibly close relationships with them, I really get to know who they are and work with them on getting them feeling awesome in their own skin. With a history of acne myself I have a level of understanding that my clients really appreciate.
We have an incredible rebook rate that I am so proud of, testament to our slightly different approach within the industry. With an impeccable safety record and an approach that is entirely client focused we provide a service that just goes that extra mile.
