Founded and led by Doctor Julie Ann Rodgers, NI Skin Medic is a evidence-based, skin health and aesthetics clinic.

Dr Julie Ann is an NHS Specialty Doctor working in Dermatology and the founder of The Skin Medic, a doctor-led aesthetic and dermatology clinic in Northern Ireland.

She graduated from the University of Ulster with First Class Honours in Health Physiology, specialising in anatomy and cardiorespiratory physiology, and was awarded a Certificate of Outstanding Academic Achievement. She subsequently completed her medical degree in Medicine, Surgery and Obstetrics at Queen’s University Belfast in 2020.

Following qualification, Dr Julie Ann gained broad clinical experience across multiple medical and surgical specialties, including General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Cardiology, Endocrinology and General Medicine, before progressing into Dermatology, where she now works within the NHS. She holds a postgraduate qualification in Dermatology and an Advanced Certificate in Dermoscopy.

Alongside her hospital practice, Dr Julie Ann has undertaken advanced training in aesthetic medicine, including botulinum toxin, dermal fillers and lower face rejuvenation. She is committed to evidence-based practice and regularly attends national and international conferences to remain up to date with developments in dermatology and aesthetic medicine.

She is a member of the Complications in Medical Aesthetic Collaborative (CMAC) and has completed additional CPD-accredited training in aesthetic complication management.

Dr Julie Ann combines medical expertise with a thoughtful, patient-centred approach, prioritising safety, clinical judgement and natural results in every treatment plan.

Dr Chandrika is a medical doctor who graduated from Queen’s University in 2019, with over five years’ experience working in Emergency Medicine. 

Having taken a strong interest in aesthetics, she completed further training in anti-wrinkle injections and dermal filler. She combines her medical knowledge and skills to enhance natural beauty and instil confidence in her patients.

Dr Chandrika's aim is always to provide professional, honest treatments in a relaxed and reassuring environment.

Alison is an NMC-registered nurse with extensive experience in surgical dermatology and a strong background in general nursing.

She has worked across dermatology services where she has been exposed to a wide range of skin conditions. This experience has given her a thorough understanding of skin health, assessment, and the importance of safe, evidence-based care.

At The Skin Medic, Alison provides advanced skin treatments including cryotherapy to benign lesions, SkinPen microneedling, and professional skin peels, working within clearly defined protocols and with medical oversight where appropriate.

She is known for her friendly, reassuring manner and takes a patient-centred approach, placing strong emphasis on education, safety, and realistic outcomes.
