Skin by Dr Serena

I'm Dr.Serena, the founder of Skin by Dr Serena which is based in London and Essex, not far from the central line with Chigwell, Woodford, Barkingside and Fairlop being the closest underground stations. I am a fully qualified, GMC registered medical doctor with a dual degree in Medicine & Surgery as well as an additional honours degree in Medical genetics. I have spent time working in various specialities in medicine as a doctor including surgery, A&E, general medicine and general practice. My aesthetics career began when I attended a fully comprehensive course for medical practitioners only. Aesthetic medicine has always been my passion and given my degree in genetics, I have a deeper understanding of how aesthetic medicine can help my clients individually. I provide private aesthetic services as well as work full time as an NHS doctor. I have completed a range of aesthetic qualifications including anti-wrinkle injections, dermal fillers for the full face, microneedling, platelet rich plasma (PRP) for hair and skin (vampire facial), chemical peels, medical grade skin care as well as skincare regimen planning. Additionally, I have been trained in minor operations and joint injections. I love to learn (hence my 10 years at uni!) and am always looking for the courses to attend to expand my skill set. Most recently, I have added health boosting injections to our menu, including B12, and Vitamin C. I tend to book out longer appointment times for my clients to spend that extra bit of time with them to make them feel comfortable about their treatment and to work together to achieve their desired results. I absolutely love seeing my clients again and again for further treatment and love to see them loving being in their own skin. I have a true passion for injecting confidence in my clients in a safe way that gives subtle natural looking results. I am a firm believer in less is more and always work on the conservative side, slowly building up through a series of appointments to meet my clients goals.
