Hiya! I’m Rita, a cosmetic doctor at The Bloom Clinic, which is in Canary Wharf. I also work as a senior medical injector at one of the leading aesthetic clinic chains in the UK, DestinationSkin, at three of their locations. I recently joined Derma Medical (the UK’s number 1 training academy of medical professionals in the UK) as an aesthetic trainer to help train other medical professionals.
I practice aesthetics as a medical specialty and practice full time, regularly injecting over 25-30 patients a week and so I am well accustomed to doing injectable treatments. Training is unregulated in the UK, even for medical professionals in aesthetics, and how much training you undergo is optional, as you are insured after just a basic foundation course in anti-wrinkle treatments and fillers. I have chosen to hold myself to the highest standards I can by signing up to a masters level of aesthetics training and undergoing numerous training courses on advanced aesthetic treatments with the 3 largest training providers for medical aesthetic professionals in the UK, as part of my commitment to being a specialist in medical aesthetics, so you’ll be in well trained and safe hands. I do lots of cosmetic dermatology treatments in clinic such as SkinPen microneedling, skin boosters and chemical peels. I am a trained ambassador for the skincare brands AlumierMD, ZO Skin Health and Obagi Medical. Skincare and anti-ageing treatments are my passion and I only suggest treatments that I think will help you, after carrying out a thorough assessment.
I ensure prices are kept affordable while only stocking premium brands of filler and have the leading devices on the market for their indication for eg SkinPen and Dermalux for microneedling and LED therapy. We only offer treatments that have an excellent safety profile and are clinically proven to work. I have attended over 30 courses on dermal filler treatments alone as I believe in continually developing skills and keeping up to date with the safest and most effective techniques to help bring patients their desired results. You may notice that my appointments are longer as I want to focus on making you feel relaxed and comfortable during your appointment so you enjoy the process and don’t feel rushed. You may also notice that my prices are lower, as I believe in offering patients more affordable options while keeping them safe during their aesthetic treatments.
I’ve been a medical doctor for 15 years in the NHS working in multiple medical and surgical specialities, including three years working in A&E and Trauma & Orthopaedics and six months practicing in a public hospital in South Africa. I also have experience in clinical research. I’ve been an NHS GP for the past 7 years but now practice medical aesthetics full time.
The Bloom Clinic is fully insured by Hamilton Fraser and has undergone rigorous Save Face accreditation to reflect our commitment to patient safety and sticking to high standards in practising medical aesthetics. We are members of organisations that promote excellence and safe practice within aesthetics (ACE Group, CMAC and JCCP) to ensure our clinic is very well supported.
The Bloom Clinic has also partnered with the Trussell Trust charity as it’s a cause that is close to our hearts. For every transaction made to us which is £100 or above, £1 is donated to their cause.
