The Top 10 Non Surgical Aesthetic Treatments

It's quite good being Glowday as we know ALL the non surgical aesthetic treatments that women (and a few men!) are really going for. Thousands of bookings go through the Glowday machine which allows us have a good old nose and see what's floating everyone's boat. Pardon us for being gossips, but if you're on the hunt for the best face treatments for antiaging and glowy skin, look no further as we reveal what everyone is booking!

1. Wrinkle Relaxing Treatments

Yep, we can't get enough of smooth foreheads and vanishing crows feet. Wrinkle relaxing is everyone's favourite choice and number one go-to in our quest to reverse or prevent the signs of ageing. Modern techniques often mean lower doses are used (known as "Baby Botox") in strategic points of the face, giving a natural, subtle result which still allow for expressions. Of course, some folk don't want this and love the completely frozen look! Whatever floats your boat, so long as you see a medically qualified pro you'll be in good, safe hands.

2. Fillers

Plumper lips are the second most desired tweakment, but fillers generally are climbing the ranks thanks to more awareness and education that having fillers with a medical professional doesn't mean puffy pillow faces! People are cottoning on to the fact that fillers, when placed well, can work magic and give the illusion of the face being lifted with deep crevices on the bottom half of the face disappearing!

Everyone loves a lush lip! This beautiful before and after is thanks to Kelsey at KB Aesthetics who is our number one lip filler in London!

3. Profhilo and Other Skin Boosters

Practically unheard of five years ago, skin boosters such as Profhilo have exploded in popularity. Often regarded as the 'entry level' treatment, skin boosters don't change any features of the face and instead - as the name suggests - give the skin a super boost! In a nutshell, a sumptuous liquid made from voluminous nourishing ingredients is injected into different points of your face, plumping from the inside out. It's like injecting 50 tubs of moisturiser into your skin!

Glowday CEO, Hannah, is a big fan of Profhilo. She see Shelley at The Glow Clinic Hereford for her treatments.

4. Consultation

Okay, so not technically a treatment, but a consultation it is the fourth most booked item on Glowday and it's a joy to see. If you're having a treatment for the first time a consultation is crucial. What treatment you think you want versus the treatment that will actually achieve the results you want could be vastly different and the consultation process is key for a practitioner to study you face, take your medical history, explain the suggested treatment and ensure it's right for you. Sometimes you'll be able to have the treatment straight away, if you're a suitable candidate, or you may be asked to come back after you've had some time to think about it. If you find someone who is willing to inject your face with Botox or filler, without any kind of consultation and signed consent, then run. Run very fast.

5. Chemical Peels

Chemical peels are having a moment. People are investing more time, effort and money into their skin health - the bedrock of any good aesthetic plan - and chemical peels are one of the most effective treatments for glowy, healthy skin. The name of the treatment still terrifies most people and images of red, burning, hot, flaky faces and the mention of 'acids' prevent so many people from seeking this treatment out. But you've got it all wrong, a chemical peel won't make your face fall off or burn you into a crisp - they will revitalise, refresh and rejuvenate your skin!

Chelsea has chemical peels with Gema at Gema Lorenzo Aesthetics and says they've changed her life!

6. Fat Reduction and Skin Tightening Treatments

There are lots of different fat reduction and skin tightening treatments but combined they've made the top 10 of most booked Treatments on Glowday. From Aqualix (injections) to Tixel (thermal enegry technology) there are a whole host of treatments out there that can tackle stubborn fat and lax skin areas and it would seem Glowday bookers are keen to try them!

7. Microneedling

Carrying on the theme of skin being king, Microneedling has made the top 10 thanks to its ability to help produce plumper, smoother, firmer skin and allow skin products to penetrate more deeply into the face. Essentially it works by injuring your skin (sounds awful, it's not!) which makes all of the skin's construction workers jump into action producing more collagen and elastin - these things make the skin firmer and tighter!

8. Mesotherapy

We're getting into the lesser-known treatments now, probably reserved for the aesthetics veterans using Glowday to book their treatments! Mesotherapy is a cocktail for your face! Your practitioner chooses the cocktail ingredients that are right for your needs and using superfine injections delivers all these enzymes, vitamins, hormones and plant extracts directly into the top layer of you skin. Typically our skin will absorb around 7% of serums when applied at home, with Mesotherapy this increases up to 70%. Our kinda cocktail!

9. Facials

Facials in an aesthetics clinic are on a different level to those you find in the beauty salon. From Hydrafacials (literally the best face wash of your life!) to a WOW facial, your skin will never feel more glowy and fresh than after a facial at one of Glowday's aesthetic clinics. Why not see what facials the practitioners near you offer, go on, treat yourself!

10. PRP

PRP therapy, also known as ‘vampire facials’ and 'Dracula therapy', is a treatment which recycles potent elements found naturally in blood! Say what!

Kim K is a big fan of this treatment (we're not sure if that's likely to make you feel less or more positive about them to be honest).

Basically, a small amount of blood is removed from your arm and then spun at high speed in a centrifuge. This separates the blood into its component parts. Of interest to your practitioner (and you) is the portion that contains platelet-rich plasma (PRP).There is evidence that it works to promote healing, which is why it is used for sports injuries, scar treatments and in combination with other treatments like microneedling.

So which treatment are you going to book? Have a look on Glowday at the kick-ass clinics we have near you and in a few clicks you could be soon enjoying the benefits of any of these top treatments!
